First Sweater

I cast my first sweater on my needles today....pretty dog gone excited to try it!

Cute Dresses

I tried a new pattern today, sewing pillowcase dresses for little girls. I am hoping to get a few friends together to make some of these cute dresses for charities in Haiti and Ethiopia! will post pictures later!

Something Old, Something New, Something Fun and Something Cute

Something Old

 This is a lion pillow that my Grandma had made for whenever her grand-kids would come and visit.  I have lots of memories laying on the floor in her living room watching TV or playing with my siblings and cousins!

Something New

That being said, I wanted to make something similar for my sister and nephew-to-be.  Jeremy and Annie like to visit the zoo and have taken many pictures of the giraffes.   I thought this would be appropriate for their household.  It is one of my very own first designs!

My sweet little neighbor boy Peter-pie wanted me to make him a Man with the Yellow Hat sleeping Cap.  Complete with yellow pompom!

Next month I will become an Aunt (Tia) for the third time! Tia3. I am currently working on some surprises for my new little nephew...stitching away! can't wait to show you all!

Pictures from the Past

I thought that I would share some of my past projects that I have completed.  I am very excited to start blogging and documenting the fun things that I have made.

I love this little poncho!  I had forgotten that I had made it!

I found a pattern somewhere on clearance for .49 cents.  This was one of the patterns in it.  It was so easy and I love making these little baby buntings and pillows.

This is another version of the baby bunting and pillow, I also made a matching sweater with baby frog buttons to go with it!

Well that is a quick peek in to my past projects.  I off to go work on some current ones!

A brand new adventure!

Hello!

Welcome to Stitches, Hooks and Sticks or SHS for short! During the next few months I will be sharing my new adventure into the design world of sewing, crochet and knitting! Many of my friends have said that I need to open an etsy shop and sell my creations! This blog is my exploration into this new world! I hope you will be willing to share you opinions of my work.
